Leeds United defender Stuart Dallas has joked that he may question Borussia Dortmund forward Erling Haaland over a move to Elland Road.
The Whites mainstay will meet the Norwegian sensation on Monday evening in the Nations League for Northern Ireland.
Dallas missed training over the weekend but was still named in the starting XI at Windsor Park after the 1-1 draw with Romania.
Dallas claimed that everyone knows about Haaland at Elland Road, and claimed he may offer him the chance to move West Yorkshire after the clash.
“Everyone knows all about Erling Haaland and what he has achieved in recent years,” he told the matchday programme.
“He has been incredible and after moving to Borussia Dortmund, he has just kicked on again.
“Obviously, there is a Leeds connection with him as well as his dad played for the club – maybe I’ll have a quick chat with him after the game to see if he fancies a change of scenery.”
Haaland would obviously cost an absolute bomb in the current market, but Dallas is right, he has a clear connection with the Whites.
The youngster was born in Leeds when his father played for the club and he has previously admitted that his dream would be to win the Champions League with the Whites.
There aren’t many better goalscorers in Europe than Haaland, and he has found the back of the net 43 times in 32 appearances.
Even with promotion, it would cost nearly £100million or even more to bring in the Norwegian and maybe it will become possible in some time without getting ahead of ourselves.
That’s the dream, and Dallas can jokingly plant those seeds early on Monday.
