Harry Redknapp says what he ‘would love to see’ happen to Leeds with season suspended

Harry Redknapp would love to see Leeds United and their Championship rivals see out their fight for promotion to the Premier League.

There has been a lot of talk about how the Premier League, EFL and FA should handle the current coronavirus-enforced suspension of all matches in England, with some people suggesting that campaigns up and down the country should be cancelled.

Teams like Leeds would be hurt most by that happening as it would halt their bid for automatic promotion with just nine matches left to play of the Championship season.

Ex-Tottenham manager Redknapp wants to see the Whites continue their promotion charge and would also like to see Liverpool go on to win their first Premier League title.

“Yes I would, that’s what I would love to see. I’d love to see the season fully completed before we ever start next season whenever that may be,” Redknapp told Sky Sports, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“I really want to see Liverpool win the league, I want to see the teams in the top four and I want to see the teams in the Championship and in every other league who might get promoted.

“I think it should be finished and brought to a conclusion before we even start next season, that’s what I would like to see.”

Every single Leeds fan will agree with Redknapp.

Anyone who wants to see the season scrapped as though it never happened either supports a team that is in trouble or would hate to see the likes of Leeds and Liverpool achieve something they haven’t done in decades.

While we admit we’re biased towards Leeds, there is no denying that finishing the season at a later date is the fairest way to go about things.

Everyone who wants the season declared null and void is showing their biases.
