‘No way’, ‘Poch can have a rest’ – These Leeds fans warn mega-club off move for Leeds 21y/o

Leeds United fans have been very vocal in their rejection of a rumour that links Jamie Shackleton to PSG.

We’re not sure where this has come from and it would be a surprising move considering the 21-year-old is yet to break into the starting XI as a regular at Elland Road.

Regardless, some Leeds supporters have made it clear that they are desperate to hold onto the midfielder.

The French champions can consider it a hands-off warning, albeit an unofficial one.

The spark behind such links could be down to the fact that former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has recently taken over as manager in Paris.

Having signed young English players during his time at Spurs, most notably Leeds academy graduate Jack Clarke, it is possible that Shackleton is a player he has had his eye on.

His connection to Marcelo Bielsa means he could be quite familiar with the youngster, too.

FourFourTwo made that connection, but at this point such rumours are yet to be substantiated.

They said: “Having spent the best years of his management career in England, Pochettino is all too aware of the talent coming through in the country right now. One significantly cheaper player that he may be interested in though is Jamie Shackleton.”

We don’t think that Whites fans need to worry too much, though that hasn’t prevented them sending out a firm hands-off to Poch.

Many want to see Shackleton follow in the footsteps of another academy graduate, Kalvin Phillips.
