Hamburg made intensive approaches to sign Leeds United Crysencio Summerville on loan all the way until the deadline, according to the Hamburger Morgenpost.
The German outlet has reported on their website that Leeds stood firm to block the Dutchman from leaving Elland Road.
It is instead suggested that the Whites will now face a summer approach from the German side to get a deal over the line.
Leeds standing tough was exactly what was needed.
Summerville may not be playing every single week, but that isn’t the point and he will be needed between now and the end of the season.
The Dutchman wants more minutes, and that is understandable, but there is a real chance he will get those at Elland Road.
