Graham Smyth shares Marcelo Bielsa requests for Leeds coverage
Graham Smyth has shared Marcelo Bielsa frequently requests copies of Leeds United coverage in the Yorkshire Evening Post.
El Loco has created history at Elland Road since arriving, including that famous promotion back to the Premier League last season.
The Yorkshire Evening Post has released numerous special spreads to celebrate these moments in recent years, and it appears as though Bielsa is a massive fan.
Writing on his personal Twitter account on Sunday afternoon, Smyth shared the requests he has received in the past three years.
“We’ve had requests for copies in the past on Bielsa’s behalf,” he said.
“Things like last season’s end of season promotion supplement or bits about Don Revie. I always thought was a nice thing. What he needs is a subscription.”
Memories.
Bielsa is a man of little comforts, and sitting outside local coffee shops is one of his past times on a day away from the action.
El Loco has made Wehterby his home, and is often spotted taking pictures with fans and going on long walks as he is the opposite of his full-on football self.
On the touchline, Bielsa is a maniac and is constantly on the case of every one of his players, something that clearly gets the best out of them.
Throughout his career though, pundits and outsiders have criticised the boss for his lack of success and silverware, and you could see his delight when lifting the Championship last season.
The Yorkshire Evening Post did a brilliant pull-out after that, and Bielsa will savour that forever, what a brilliant gesture from the YEP.
