Graham Smyth shares how many players Leeds United will sign this summer
Graham Smyth expects Leeds United to make four signings this summer as they look to eschew a new era under Jesse Marsch.
He believes that the Whites still need a left-back while signing a midfielder will be a priority.
Smyth also can see another attacking midfielder coming should Raphinha leave as well as a striker.

He wrote in the Yorkshire Evening Post, “I think they’ll look to do a lot more recruitment this summer than last. It’s necessary.
“I could see them doing four first team signings and then some 23s recruitment after that. As for positions, they still need more at left-back, in central midfield, up front and maybe an attacking midfielder to replace Raphinha if he goes.
“An experienced number two goalkeeper would still be a reassuring signing to back up Illan Meslier, although Kristoffer Klaesson did very well in his cameo at Wolves.”
Good enough?
For a side that’s battled relegation and possibly lost their best player, four signings do not seem to be enough.
That’s what Leeds should’ve done in the summer, but disappointingly, they could only rope in two players.

Both Junior Firpo and Dan James haven’t exactly set the world alight at Elland Road.
Leeds need a semi overhaul in the summer which means that at least six or seven new first-team players should be walking through the doors.
Smyth makes a case about a reserve goalkeeper, but there needs to be improvements in the playing eleven and that’s where Victor Orta and co must divert their funds.
