Graham Potter says Brighton ‘delighted’ with Ben White at Leeds
Brighton manager Graham Poter has said both he and Brighton are ‘delighted’ with how Ben White is progressing at Leeds United.
The 22-year-old centre-back joined on a season-long loan in the summer and has quickly become a vital player in Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds side.
He has played the full 90 minutes in all of Leeds’ 16 Championship games this season and helped his side keep eight clean sheets. Leeds have the best defence in the whole of the EFL with just nine league goals conceded all season.
Talking to the official Brighton website, Potter said, “The feedback about Ben has been really good, and we’re happy with how he’s done so far.
“It’s really good for him and Leeds United too, because it shows that the loan has worked well for everybody. He was a player that was really after first-team football and he’s got that opportunity there.
“Of course he’s still our player, but we’re happy that he’s having a good experience and getting better all the time, so we’re delighted.”
It’s more positive news regarding White after a YEP report stated that Brighton could only recall him in January if he didn’t play enough for Leeds.

Teammate Adam Forshaw also lavished praise on him in a recent episode of the Talking Shutt podcast.
“He’s unbelievable though,” Forshaw said. “What is he? Is he a John Stones type player? He hasn’t shown any signs of making a mistake yet. He literally hasn’t put a foot wrong.
“He’s so cool on the ball and he’s clever. He might not be the most physical centre-back but he’s just clever.
“He nicks it, times his headers really well and looks like a top, top player. We’re lucky to have him.”
