Glenn Hoddle makes big Leeds United-Everton relegation prediction

Glenn Hoddle doesn’t see Leeds United picking up a win against Brentford.

The Whites currently sit outside the drop zone, just ahead of Burnley, as we enter the final week of the Premier League campaign.

Everton are also in the mix, but they can secure Premier League safety with a win against Crystal Palace.

Hoddle has said that he is scared for Leeds when asked who will get relegated at the end of the season.

“I’m scared for Leeds. Brentford are playing so well, a lot of confidence, I just don’t see them winning. This league, as I say,” Hoddle said on the Premier League’s Analysis Show.

“Everton have got to beat Palace at home. I think Burnley have got enough to get something out of those two games. If Leeds get the win, then you have to hold your hands up and say wow.”

Tight race

Leeds are just hanging in there, although they cannot control their destiny at the moment.

Pascal Struijk scored a dramatic late equaliser against Brighton to give the Whites a glimmer of hope, but they need help from elsewhere.

The weekend went well for Leeds as both Everton and Burnley had dropped points. Burnley lost against Tottenham while the Toffees lost 3-2 at home against Brentford.

Before Leeds play their final game, they will be closely watching the situation of both Everton and Burnley. The Toffees face Crystal Palace at home, while Burnley travel to Villa Park to face Aston Villa.

Villa have beaten Burnley away from home already, while Palace have defeated Everton 4-0 in the FA Cup. There is a high chance, that both the clubs could fail to register a win in the midweek.

Having said that, Leeds will have to win their final game against Brentford. At the moment, it’s really tight, and it can swing in any one’s favour.

In Leeds United news, an under-the-radar court case involving the transfer of a Leeds player has reached its conclusion with the final payout revealed.
