Georginio Rutter could become 'international superstar' as Leeds United get deal done
Georginio Rutter could be an “international superstar” as Leeds United are getting a deal done for the Hoffenheim striker, as shared by journalist Jake Winderman.
The CBS Sport journalist shared on Twitter that he can’t wait to see Rutter in action for Leeds and that it’s a great move for the 20-year-old striker.
The Whites are getting an “absolutely massive” deal for Rutter, after missing out on players like Cody Gakpo, Charles De Ketelaere and Rodrigo De Paul in previous transfer windows.
“After missing on Gakpo, De Ketelaere, Rodrigo De Paul, etc, this is absolutely massive for Leeds United getting a deal done for a player of this caliber Great move for a striker who could be an international superstar in the making. Can’t wait to see him make his debut,” wrote Winderman on Twitter.
Leeds needed to bolster their forward department this January, and Victor Orta has done a terrific job once again to get the deal done.
The personal terms were agreed with the player before and the youngster will now head for the medical ahead of his proposed move.
He is a mysterious talent and certainly not the finished product. He is not a prolific goalscorer either, he can become a top player in the future.
Rutter is a fantastic dribbler and his best years are ahead of him. Leeds have decided to break their bank for his signature, and it’s a calculated risk.
The player is signing a long-term contract at the club which shows that they have big plans for the youngster. The club will be more than happy to give him time to settle down.
It will be interesting if his potential arrival could pave the way for Joe Gelhardt’s exit on loan this month. The youngster could look to move away from Elland Road to get regular games.
