Gary Neville takes swipe at Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani as £270m development emerges
Gary Neville has taken a swipe at Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani after it emerged he could lose £270m if the club are relegated.
The Whites currently sit two points above the relegation zone but have suffered back-to-back 5-1 and 6-1 defeats in recent games, leaving them in a precarious position with seven games remaining.
A report by the Daily Mail claims that Radrizzani stands to lose £270m if the club face the drop with the current valuation of the protracted takeover by the 49ers this summer being slashed, and Neville took to his Twitter account to take a swipe at the boss.
“He will be relying on good old ‘Maoism’,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account (18 April).
Cheap
Neville hates Leeds and Leeds hate Neville, that much is common knowledge. But there is more to this than just simple football rivalry.
Radrizzani’s personal losses are nothing to do with the football club rivalry, and relegation would be a huge hit for the football club regardless of how well prepared they are for it.
Neville is just furious that the Whites aren’t falling at his feet and have questions about the independent regulator that he wants to introduce to the game.
Anyone that doesn’t agree with Neville is wrong as far as he is concerned, and he’ll take as many shots as he possibly can publicly until they fall in line.
We already know he’s a muppet who only has his own interests at heart, and it would be great to see him get a taste of his own medicine to see how he reacts to it.
Leeds will survive just to spite him, and we’ll remember these messages and comments when it happens and remind him of them.
In other Leeds news, Radrizzani is set for £270m losses as a 49ers takeover update has emerged.
