Gary Neville shares 'mad' Leeds United relegation prediction live on Sky Sports
Gary Neville believes “something mad” has to happen on the final day of the Premier League season for Leeds United to avoid relegation.
The Whites are destined for the drop into the Championship unless they manage to beat Spurs at Elland Road this Sunday (28 May), as well as Everton losing to Bournemouth and Leicester City picking up no more than a point against West Ham.
Speaking live on Monday Night Football on Sky Sports, Neville issues a damning verdict on Sam Allardyce’s chances of pulling off the miraculous escape, mentioning the fact that Everton have a superior goal difference by three, while the Foxes hold a nine-goal advantage.
“A lot has to go well for Leeds,” he said.
“They’re going to need Everton to lose, it goes without saying, because even if Everton get a point and Leeds go on and win, the goal difference [can’t be overturned], unless they get a big win.
“But is that likely against Tottenham? I’m not sure.

Something special needed
Leicester’s draw against Newcastle really wasn’t what Leeds wanted heading into the last game of the season.
The Foxes will be in buoyant nature heading into their last day of the season clash against what will likely be a weakened West Ham side, while Everton will also fancy their chances versus Bournemouth.
Meanwhile, Leeds have a tricky test against a mercurial Spurs side who will be fighting down to the wire for the final European spot the Premier League has to offer.
Allardyce’s side can now feasibly finish 19th in the Premier League, but you can’t deny it has been coming considering the number of mistakes made by the club over the last two years.
There have been a plethora of poor footballing decisions both in terms of managerial selections and transfer business completed.
It now looks like these will come back to haunt Leeds unless something miraculous occurs around the grounds on Sunday.
