Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher stunned by Leeds injury developments live on Sky Sports

Gary Neville has been left stunned by injury developments at Leeds United over the past week of action, labelling them as “massive.”

Patrick Bamford has started the past two games in the Premier League, with Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper returning to the bench at Wolves last night (18 March).

Jamie Carragher was also thrilled, insisting that having those three names back starting after the international break will be “huge.”

Speaking live on Sky Sports Friday Night Football last night (18 March), Neville kickstarted the reaction.

“Those three players coming back are going to have a bigger influence than the manager, no disrespect to Jesse Marsch,” he said.

“Those three players will be massive.”

Carragher also reacted and agreed with his close pundit, with players coming back quickly for the Whites.

“It will be huge when he gets them back (starting).”

Huge.

Having Bamford, Phillips and Cooper back is huge.

As mentioned previously, missing your entire spine is enough to kill any side in the Premier League and that had to be taken into account.

Bamford is starting games, and although Cooper and Phillips weren’t fit enough to start last night, they will surely be ready after the international break and that will be huge.

Jesse Marsch confirmed after that the blow picked up by Bamford isn’t too bad, so he should be fine to return after this break, which has come at the perfect time.

The win at Wolves was huge despite all of these blows, and welcoming back all of these players in the next two weeks will send us into the Southampton clash with huge confidence.

Bring it on.
