Gary Lineker stunned by ‘Bonkers’ Leeds United draw v Aston Villa

Gary Lineker was left stunned by Leeds United in their 3-3 draw against Aston Villa on Wednesday evening.

The Whites picked up another important point in the Premier League, coming from two goals down to get the result.

It likely should have been more, with Lineker labelling it as just a “classic” match for Leeds in recent years.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Lineker was stunned by what he was watching at Villa Park last night.

“It’s all a bit bonkers at Villa Park,” he wrote.

“Classic Leeds game.”

And breathe…

Well, we have only just recovered from that encounter last night.

Looking back, the three points were really there for the taking, but certain moments took them away in the end.

Our defending was more than questionable for two if not all three of the goals conceded in the opening 45 minutes.

After the half-time whistle, we dominated even further and despite equalising, we certainly had more than enough chances to score the winner.

Having said that, we all would have taken a point before kick-off and now all eyes will be on the Everton game this weekend.

The Toffees are struggling, and picking up three points on the road again would make it the perfect week for Marcelo Bielsa.

Leaving Merseyside with a win on Saturday would catapult us up the table, and it would massively ease any relegation fears, let’s hope for more bonkers football, but all going forward this time.
