Gabriel Agbonlahor issues Leeds United verdict ahead of Aston Villa Premier League clash
Gabriel Agbonlahor believes that Aston Villa will not find it easy to play Leeds United at Elland Road.
The two sides meet in the Premier League on Sunday and both go into this one in contrasting form.
Villa struggled but got the job done over Southampton prior to the international break while Leeds suffered a heavy 5-2 defeat against Brentford.
He said on talkSPORT on Thursday morning, “It’s a big game.
“Gerrard getting the win against Southampton.
“He is going to be demanding as they went to Leeds and beat them last season.
“But Leeds, they aren’t a team you want to play at Elland Road. They are looking like a good team this season.”
Villa have been one of the most disjointed sides in the Premier League this season.
Despite having a good team on paper they have struggled to dominate games and have ended up losing quite comfortably.
However, results against Manchester City and Southampton will give them some confidence going into this game.
That being said, if Leeds play the football we know they’re capable of, this should be a convincing win for Jesse Marsch’s side.
The American now has most of his players back from injury and it remains to be seen how many end up making the eleven.
Patrick Bamford is expected to start and we will not be surprised if Luke Ayling and Liam Cooper are also drafted into the XI.
