Gabby Logan shares what will ‘cheer up Leeds fans’ after what MOTD did to them
Daniel Farke has Leeds sitting on a healthy 11 points after nine Premier League games.
After Leeds’ 2-1 victory over West Ham on Friday night, the Whites have risen back up the table, extending the gap between themselves and the Hammers.
Farke wants to keep Leeds in the Premier League, and with a separation between the Whites and certain teams beginning to form, things are looking good early on.
Brenden Aaronson’s goal against West Ham caused controversy, but Leeds won’t care, as the Whites managed to bag all three points.
However, Leeds fans who wanted to watch the game back on Match of the Day won’t have been too happy with producers leaving the Whites until last.

Leeds were last on Match of the Day – but key stat will excite
The win against West Ham was arguably the biggest seen at LS11 so far this season, as Leeds have made a statement in their opening Premier League games.
After having to wait until last for the game to be shown, MOTD host Gabby Logan insisted that one stat in particular would “cheer up Leeds fans”.
- Leeds are averaging a win in every three Premier League games
- Farke has only let Leeds lose once at Elland Road so far this season
- Leeds could yet improve their squad in January
Logan said: “Well, they might be on last, but this will cheer up Leeds fans, because every promoted team in the last 10 years who’s got to 11 points after 10 games have stayed up, and their only nine games in.
“It was a great result, back to winning ways at home, Daniel Farke setting them up perfectly to exploit West Ham’s weaknesses.”

The stats make for good reading, and Farke will only want to capitalise on the Whites’ good start in England’s top flight.
Leeds can stay in the Premier League
Farke will want to avoid being relegated for a third time in the Premier League, and he is doing everything he can to make sure Leeds avoid the drop.
Luckily for the Whites, this could be the year, as teams around them are struggling a lot.
Wolves are yet to win a game, as they play relegation rivals Burnley on Sunday evening, as West Ham almost look destined for the drop.
It feels like every game Leeds play at Elland Road, they have the chance of winning, or at least getting something from it, as the ground will prove vital in a push for Premier League survival.
