Gabby Agbonlahor pokes fun at Leeds United fans live on talkSPORT after watching Jamie Vardy celebration in 1-1 draw

Gabby Agbonlahor has admitted he restarted Jamie Vardy and James Maddison’s celebrations in front of the Leeds United fans several times after the 1-1 draw at Elland Road.

Despite starting the game brightly and taking the lead through Luis Sinisterra, Javi Gracia’s side were caught out with ten minutes to play when Vardy netted the equalising goal of the night.

After the goal, both Maddison and Vardy celebrated right in front of the home fans by putting their fingers to their lips in an attempt to science the Elland Road crowd.

Leeds United fans

Speaking live on talkSPORT Breakfast on Wednesday (26 April), Agbonlahor mocked the Leeds fans by admitting his pleasure at such celebrations.

“I loved this celebration last night Ally, I restarted it three times,” he said.

“Maddison was shushing the fans, Vardy was shushing the fans, then they all celebrated, and Maddison came over to shush the Leeds fans even more, that’s what I miss about football Ally, celebrating in front of the home fans when you score.”

“Gabby, I was at the game, and I did have a wry smile on my face,” McCoist replied.

“To say he enjoyed the goal is an understatement, that’s for sure.”

Typical Gabby

Agbonlahor seems to enjoy winding Leeds fans up far too much, and he can’t seem to hold in his glee at the club’s current state of affairs.

Gracia’s side are bang in trouble after failing to hold on to all three points at Elland Road on Tuesday and the relegation showdown against Bournemouth this weekend now takes on a new importance.

If the Whites fall to defeat against the Cherries, their Premier League run-in suddenly looks very tough indeed.

Fixtures against Manchester City, Newcastle, a bang-in-form West Ham and Spurs aren’t easy reading, and it highlights the need to pick up three points on the south coast on Sunday (30 April).

One change that Gracia must finally make is bringing Willy Gnonto back into the starting lineup, with the Italian having not started for the Whites in over a month now.

Anything other than a win against Bournemouth and Agbonlahor’s taunts may get even more unbearable.

In other Leeds United, Ally McCoist couldn’t believe his eyes as two Leeds players wasted Jack Harrison’s brilliant quality against Leicester City.
