Gabby Agbonlahor makes Leeds United request live on talkSPORT

Leeds United are preparing for life in the Premier League, and they will need to break the impossible trend following promoted clubs.

Daniel Farke showed what he was made of this season, guiding his side to the top flight as Champions.

The hard work starts now, though, with Premier League survival essential to the long-term development of Leeds on and off the pitch.

The top flight is no easy task, with all three promoted sides last season coming straight back down.

Gabby Agbonlahor has now delivered Leeds some advice on what they need to do to survive in the Premier League.

Agbonlahor tells Leeds what they need to do

Farke does have experience managing in the Premier League, although his previous stint was not too successful.

The German’s previous record has left questions being asked about whether he is the man to take the Whites ahead.

Although it seemed as though the 49ers were standing by the current boss, it has since been reported that a change could still be made ahead of the new season.

The 49ers need to make a final decision soon, though, so whoever will be in charge is ready for the summer transfer window.

The manager at Elland Road has been advised on how to succeed after Ally McCoist asked Agbonlahor live on talkSPORT (13 May, 6:09 am) what Leeds have to do to survive in the top flight.

The former Villa forward said: “Do you know what they need to do, Al? They need to change the way they play. Try and be hard to beat.”

Farke preparing for a busy summer

Farke has built a good squad this season, which gives the manager a strong spine to build upon going into the summer.

However, there is no doubt that additions will be needed to give the Whites the necessary strength to compete at the top and win.

Leeds’ record this season.

Leeds have been an enjoyable side to watch this season, and, although they can’t be prepared to change themselves completely, Farke has to make sure his side is adaptable to suit the different opponents they will come up against.

The West Yorkshire outfit have been linked with several players already ahead of the transfer window, which should give supporters a boost that there will be plenty of movement ahead of the new campaign.

If Leeds can strike a balance between a side that can play good football and be effective when necessary, the Whites should be in a good place.
