Gabby Agbonlahor makes fresh relegation claim after Leeds United loss vs Burnley
Daniel Farke wlll be looking over his shoulder as Leeds United lost 2-0 to Burnley in the Premier League on Saturday.
Lesley Ugochukwu and Loum Tchaouna scored on either side of half time for the hosts to secure a crucial three points.
Leeds travelled to Turf Moor on 18 October in what could’ve been considered a six-pointer as both teams are fighting to survive the drop.
Farke’s hopes of avoiding Premier League relegation have taken a hit, but the German manager may have some hope.

Leeds United can avoid Premier League relegation
Despite losing to Burnley, the Whites have a chance of avoiding relegation this season, Gabby Agbonlahor says.
The former Aston Villa striker feels the race to survive the drop may be extremely close this time around, with the Elland Road faithful given a positive outlook for the future.
Agbonlahor has sent a warning to Nottingham Forest, West Ham United and Wolves as all three promoted sides will undoubtedly fancy themselves in the 2025-26 campaign.
Speaking on talkSPORT on 20 October, the ex-forward said: “They could, they really could [avoid relegation]. Especially when you look at the way Burnley grafted. They didn’t care about Leeds having the ball. They let them have the ball.”
Agbonlahor added: “This is the problem for some of the teams down there. This isn’t like previous seasons where the promoted teams are going straight back down. Leeds, Burnley and Sunderland will all fancy themselves to stay up. So if you’re Forest, West Ham and Wolves, be very careful.”
Farke will have to address the lack of firepower at Elland Road, with the West Yorkshire outfit failing to score despite an xG of 2.63 against the Clarets.
Daniel Farke risks sack at Elland Road
Farke is walking towards his sacking at Elland Road, with the Whites leaking goals in the current campaign.
Leeds are 15th in the league table right now, but could soon find themselves further down in the table if they don’t address some key issues in defence and attack.
Matches | Wins | Draws | Losses | Goals conceded |
9 | 2 | 2 | 5 | 17 |
The West Yorkshire outfit have a goal difference of minus six, which doesn’t bode well for their prospects in the English top flight, giving 49ers Enterprises something to think about.
Having won just one of their last five matches, coupled with fans expecting the Peacocks to beat Burnley, a change in the LS11 dugout isn’t out of the question.
