Leeds United travel to Craven Cottage to face Fulham in the third round of the League Cup on Tuesday night, and they will be keen to win.

Having started the Premier League campaign on an underwhelming note, with Marcelo Bielsa’s side yet to pick up a win in five games, victory against the Championship side will come as a much-needed boost.

The Whites secured a 3-0 win over Crewe in the last round of the competition, while Fulham won 2-0 against Birmingham.

Marco Silva’s side are currently second in the Championship table after picking up five victories in eight games, and tonight’s clash could be a tough one for the visitors.

Ahead of the game, we spoke to @FulhamFanTV, a Cottagers fan account with over 47,000 followers on Twitter, to gauge the mood amongst the away supporters.

What have you made of Leeds at the start of the season?

Starting the season, it has been a bit of a slow burner but that doesn’t mean to say things won’t pick up. We would predict a comfortable mid-table finish this season.

Who will cause you the biggest issues?

Kalvin Phillips is always a solid player, a little underrated if you ask us. It all depends on how Leeds lineup today as both teams will make a fair few changes to the squads.

What have you made of your start to the season?

Fulham have been absolutely flying with the aim being finishing in the top-two in the league. At the moment, we are on track to reach that goal, averaging around two goals a game thus far. Big hitters Stoke couldn’t cope with us, so that shows we can even perform against the teams in the league.

Who should Leeds watch out for?

There will be changes to our side today with the biggest threat coming from our wingers. They are very fast and with the right attacking picks tonight we could be a real threat. We are a fast team who like to pass out from the back.

Is Marco Silva likely to make any big changes to the side?

Marco should make a few changes as our goal is promotion this season. The most obvious change will be our goalkeeper, Marek Rodak will most likely take the starting place.

We also think Aleksandar Mitrovic will be on the bench with Bobby Reid taking the attacking stage. It would be great to see Harrison Reed have more playing time but we’ll see.

Are there any particular weak links in the Fulham side you fear may get exposed?

Fulham’s main weakness is the lack of finishing in the attacking third. Most of the time we can get into good positions but we lack the finishing touch.

Score prediction/what type of game will we see?

This will be a great game for Fulham to see what level they are. Fulham will be happy to with a draw but I can see it being a low scoring game overall. Probably a 1-0 or 2-0 type of game.
