Freddie Woodman not included in pre-season training camp with Newcastle

Leeds United have been strongly linked with a move for Newcastle United goalkeeper Freddie Woodman this week.

Graham Smyth shared that the former Swansea loanee is one of three players on the shortlist to replace Kiko Casilla.

Steve Bruce is said to not have room for Woodman in his squad next season in the Premier League.

The Shields Gazette has reported on Wednesday that Woodman has not been included in the pre-season training camp of the Magpies.

Newcastle have travelled down to Yorkshire this week and will take on York City and Harrogate Town.

Younger option Dan langley has been included in pre-season training, meaning that a move is surely guaranteed in the next month for Woodman.

Having spent the last two seasons with Swansea, the Welsh club are also said to be interested in another move.

Get it done.

This is a come-and-get-me plea to any club who wants to sign Woodman this summer, Newcastle clearly aren’t too interested in keeping him around.

A major blow to our pursuit could be the lack of first-team minutes available at Elland Road.

Casilla left after falling behind Illan Meslier, and many others will consider that before signing on the dotted line.

Football Insider has reported on Wednesday that Woodman has turned down the chance to sign because of that, although could his mind be changed?

Elland Road is the place to be at this moment of time under Marcelo Bielsa, whose football is on another planet to Bruce.

Victor Orta is said to want to complete his deals before our first pre-season game at Guiseley, which is less than two weeks away.
