‘Fraud’ – Some fans think Leeds dodged big bullet this summer as L’Equipe post 3/10 rating
Leeds United always manage a bit of drama in the transfer window and former Bayern Munich midfielder Michael Cuisance delivered it this summer.
He agreed an £18m deal that would have seen him play at Elland Road and travelled over for a medical before Leeds pulled the plug on the deal.
Leeds claimed he failed his medical, something that Bayern refuted. Cuisance went on to pass a medical at Marseille and joined the French club on a season-long loan.
He’s made four appearances for his new club, two in Ligue 1 and two in the Champions League.
But neither Leeds fans nor Marseille fans were impressed with what they saw this week as the French side lost 3-0 to Man City.
And French outlet L’Equipe gave him a thumbs-down too, scoring him at 3/10 in their admittedly tough ratings.
One Marseille fan dubbed him a “fraud” after his latest performance and one Leeds fans questioned his body language in the game and said he just “strolled” around the pitch.

Another Marseille fan said he wasn’t on his game and misplaced too many passes.
It led some Leeds fans to claim they’d dodged a bullet. Time will tell but, at the present time, turning Cuisance down – for whatever reason – seems like the right decision.
One fan said that “Bielsa wouldn’t have picked him for the Under-23s” based on that showing and although Leeds are short a midfielder, there was obviously something that the club didn’t rate about the player.
