Frank Lampard makes Leeds United relegation claim after Everton loss
Frank Lampard has taken solace with the idea that “Leeds United are in there” in the relegation battle after Everton lost on Sunday.
The Toffees suffered a 2-0 defeat against Liverpool on Sunday at Anfield, and they have dropped into the bottom three.
Burnley have moved a place up although they have played a game more, with Leeds four points ahead of the Toffees.

“It will be spoken about. But we have six games to Burnley’s five left,” said Lampard to Sky Sports.
“Leeds are in there, so they play tomorrow (Crystal Palace). We have to expect Burnley might win (against Wolves) and worry about our own job.
“So, there are 18 points for us to fight for, which is a lot to fight for, so it’s important for players, fans and the club to not get sucked into that in a negative way.
“We are realistic, it is what it is. But there are a lot of games for us to go and win.”
Tough fixtures
Leeds will face Crystal Palace on Monday in the Premier League where Jesse Marsch will be looking to maintain their impressive late form.
The Whites are unbeaten in their last four games, and even a draw won’t be a bad result at Selhurst Park. Every point matters.
Leeds have watched Burnley closing the gap with a 1-0 victory over Wolves, and they need to react positively to extend the lead.

Interestingly, Frank Lampard brought up Leeds into the mix, as he thinks the Whites are not out of the danger as yet, despite their four-point advantage.
Of the teams that are fighting for survival, Leeds have a tough run of fixtures and that could be a major concern.
After the game against Palace, the Whites will face Premier League champions Manchester City followed by a trip to north London to face Arsenal. After that they face Chelsea.
Although both City and Chelsea will face Leeds at Elland Road, it will need a heroic effort to get something from those games.
In other Leeds United news, Andrea Radrizzani has broken his silence on Twitter sharing when he will leave the club.
