Francisco Trincao returns to training ahead of Leeds United game

Francisco Trincao has returned to training for Wolverhampton Wanderers ahead of their game against Leeds United.

The Birmingham Mail report that the Portuguese forward has recovered from Covid-19 and is back in contention for Wolves, which could be a blow for the Whites.

This means that the Old Gold have pretty much a full squad to choose from, and head to Elland Road off the back of two league wins in a row.

Bad news for Leeds.

Trincao hasn’t had the greatest start to his time at Molineux as he hasn’t scored or provided an assist in his six appearances in the Premier League so far.

However, his WhoScored rating is actually pretty high at 6.93, which ranks him in third place in the Wolves squad.

This suggests that he has had an impact on games, despite not providing any end-product yet at Molineux.

So, he is someone who could change the game if Wolves require him to, while Leeds have looked short of that all season.

Saturday showed just how reliant they are on Raphinha as without him, they managed just three shots all game, which at any level is pathetic.

Of course, the Brazilian should be available for the game at the weekend, but the Whites lack that player who can change the match from the bench, which Trincao could be for Wolves.

We will have to see who is back for the Whites when Marcelo Bielsa speaks later in the week, but at the moment, it looks as if Wolves will have pretty much a full squad to choose from.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are looking at a move for Todd Cantwell.
