Former Tottenham Hotspur boss Nuno Espirito Santo in mix to be Leeds United manager
Former Tottenham Hotspur and Wolves manager Nuno Espirito Santo has been touted as the next potential Leeds United manager.
According to the Daily Mirror (08/02, page 52), the Portuguese is one among many names in the mix to succeed Jesse Marsch at Elland Road.
He is currently managing in the Saudi Arabian league where he’s in charge of Al-Ittihad Club.

No thank you
Nuno may have 48 Premier League wins in his career so far, but his recent stint in the top-flight ended in abject failure.
He was at one of the richest clubs in the country after doing relatively well at Wolves and he could not live up to the expectations.
His style of football was drab for a Spurs side that played swashbuckling football under Mauricio Pochettino for a number of years.

The same problem will be faced at Leeds as both Marcelo Bielsa and to a lesser extent Jesse Marsch played high-pressing systems at a high tempo.
Nuno’s appointment is one that can cause an uproar among the fans and we would recommend the hierarchy to stay as far away from him as possible.
It remains to be seen who they end up going for as there are a lot of potential options out there and Andrea Radrizzani is also expected to be in Leeds to finalise the decision and announce it perhaps before the weekend.
