Former Manchester United and Watford keeper Ben Foster gushes over Leeds United manager Javi Gracia
Former Manchester United and Watford keeper Ben Foster has been left gushing over Leeds United manager Javi Gracia.
The Englishman took to Facebook to compile a four minute video in a Leeds jersey explaining why Gracia is the right appointment for the Whites.
Foster even worked under the Spaniard during his Watford days and claims that he’s still in touch with him.

He said, “I love playing for him. That season we started on absolute fire. I think after four games we were second or joint top or something and Javi was just top class.
“He wants to get forward and create chances but he also wants you to get back and work very hard. I think it’s a fantastic signing. He’s a top man and he’s a top coach and he’s exactly what Leeds need.”
Coaching role at Leeds?
Foster is now retired and has become quite the celebrity on YouTube as his channel is popular among football fans globally.
According to TEAMtalk in July 2022, the eight-cap Englishman was on the radar of Leeds as they were eyeing a backup goalkeeper.
Eventually, they ended up going for Joel Robles and Foster then retired from the professional game.
However, it’s clear that he’s got fans at Elland Road and Gracia, along with his coaching staff are still on good terms with Foster.

While there are no reports about Foster moving to Leeds in a coaching capacity, it cannot be ruled out and he would actually be a positive influence.
He appears to connect well with people and could be an inspiration to Illan Meslier who aims to become a regular for France soon.
