Former Manchester City ace Claudio Bravo gushes over Leeds United goalkeeper Joel Robles after Elland Road footage emerges

Former Manchester City goalkeeper Claudio Bravo has been blown away by Leeds United summer signing Joel Robles in Thorp Arch training.

The Spaniard is still waiting for his Leeds debut and is training ahead of whenever he gets the chance to take his position between the sticks.

However, his training has won over a few fans, including the former Man City ace Bravo who won the Premier League with them in 2017/18.

Meslier took to Instagram to share the video, and captioned it, “A month later, keep going.”

To which Bravo replied, “Nice hands, with everything Joe.”

Carabao debut?

Leeds are set to take on Wolves in the third round of the Carabao Cup with the date yet to be announced.

That would be the ideal game to Robles his senior debut as he’s an experienced keeper with a proven track record of performing in big games.

We were surprised that Kristoffer Klaesson wasn’t loaned out this summer as Robles’ arrival could mean that he’s now the third choice at the club.

It will be interesting to see Robles in action and hopefully, his debut does not arrive sooner than expected as that will mean an injury to Illan Meslier.

The Frenchman has been immense in goal for Leeds and is an exemplary shot stopper as well as a sweeper – making him the ideal modern-day goalkeeper.

Meslier is only getting better and there will be some worry at Elland Road that a big club may come in for him in the coming years so they must hand him a new deal soon.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites reached an agreement to sign a left-back, according to his agent.
