Former Leeds United man Ezgjan Alioski set to sign for Galatasaray

Former Leeds United star Ezgjan Alioski has reached an agreement to sign for Galatasaray, according to a report from Sabah Sport.

The 29-year-old officially left Elland Road earlier this month, and it looks as if he has decided on a move to Turkey to play with Galatasaray. The tweet states that Galatasary have “found their new left-back” and that an agreement has been reached with Alioski on “everything”.

The North Macedonian international spent four years at Elland Road and, in that time, became a bit of a cult hero, but this move will not go down well.

Poor choice by Alioksi

Leeds and Galatasary have had a tough history, and if Alioksi does go through with this, it will be controversial, to say the least [the Yorkshire Post].

He was linked with a move to Galatasary earlier this year, but many Leeds fans expressed their displeasure at the move and the talk of him joining the Turkish side cooled [Daily Mail].

However, it appears as if Galatasaray have done enough to convince Alioski of the move, and it could just be a matter of time before the Turkish giants confirm they have signed the former Leeds man.

We cannot see this one going down well with many Leeds fans who could be absolutely fuming with Alioski’s decision.

This report could turn out to be fake, but if it isn’t, then Alioksi has made a poor choice, and he could be in for some heavy stick from some Leeds fans who supported him for the time he was at Elland Road.

This seems like a dreadful decision from Alioski and we hope it isn’t true.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are said to be looking at Bundesliga star.
