Former Leeds United man Ezgjan Alioksi thriving for Al-Ahil

Former Leeds United ace Ezgjan Alioski is thriving for his new side Al-Ahil after leaving Elland Road in the summer transfer window.

The Yorkshire Evening Post report that the 29-year-old has scored twice in his first six games for the club and seems to be impressing.

However, the club aren’t doing so well and are winless in their first seven games and sit in the relegation zone of the Saudi Pro League, which isn’t the start we can imagine he envisioned when he left Elland Road.

Mixed bag for Alioski.

So, on a personal note, things seem to be going well for Alioski after he swapped Leeds for Saudi Arabia; however, his club are performing poorly.

You do have to wonder if he regrets leaving Elland Road over the summer after four years with the Whites.

They tried to keep him and offered him a new deal, which he refused, and it would be interesting to find out exactly how he thinks the move is going [The Yorkshire Post].

Now, given that Leeds have Junior Firpo, it is not guaranteed that Alioski would have been playing that regularly this season, but he could have been a great player to have in the squad.

The North Macedonian international is versatile and could have been used by Marcelo Bielsa in many different ways.

However, he decided to move on, and we wish him the best of luck and hope that he can help his club up the league after a poor start.

In other Leeds United news, Kalvin Phillips has been suggested as an alternative to Declan Rice for Chelsea.
