Former Leeds United and Manchester United ace Gordon Strachan visits Elland Road ahead of D-Day game v Tottenham

Sam Allardyce has invited Former Leeds United and Manchester United ace Gordon Strachan to visit Elland Road to motivate the players.

According to the Daily Mail [26 May], ahead of the game against Tottenham Hotspur, the likes of Gary McAllister and Eddie Gray have also been called to the club.

Big Sam’s also held training sessions at Elland Road instead of Thorp Arch as that’s where the game will be held on 28 May.

Need all the good vibes

Training hard is one thing but the players need to feel the buzz going into the game and bringing in legends will certainly help.

Spurs have nothing to play for on the final day and may actually prefer not being in Europe next season as it will help them reset.

If they lose then they will finish 8th and it can give the new manager a chance to rebuild without having Thursday night games.

Harry Kane, however, would like to bow out on a winning note as this could be his last game for the club he loves so dearly.

It’s good on Big Sam that he’s trying to create a positive atmosphere and he’s got to do everything he can to get his players motivated.

It’s not going to be easy but it’s far from impossible and Leeds have to focus on doing their job and the rest may or may not take care of itself.

In other Leeds United news, Phil Hay claims that an international player at Elland Road has no place at the club next season and a summer transfer is on the cards.
