Fiorentina unable to register Leeds United ace Tyler Adams in January transfer window

Fiorentina are reportedly unable to register Leeds United ace Tyler Adams if they do end up signing him in the January transfer window.

According to La Nazione [6 December], Serie A sides have a rule of being able to register players that are not from EU nations.

Adams, a United States international, is definitely not, and the Whites midfielder won’t be allowed to feature for the rest of the campaign if he joins mid-season.

Nicolas Burdisso, Fiorentina’s sporting director, was spotted scouting Adams in the USA v Iran clash on 30 November.

Not happening anyway

Fiorentina are in no position to attract players from Leeds so they should stop dreaming of signing someone like Adams.

If anything, the Whites can attract players from them as the lure of the Premier League is something else and Fiorentina do not even play in Europe.

Leeds fans certainly will be sitting comfortably despite the growing interest in Adams’ services over the winter window.

If the American does want to leave, it will almost certainly be for a top Champions League club that would give the Whites twice what they paid for him in the summer.

However, we do not see him wanting to leave so soon as he appears to be loving life in Yorkshire and he’s playing for a manager who’s getting the best out of him.

We cannot wait to see him back in action for the Whites as he’s set the bar even higher with his displays at the World Cup for USA.

In other Leeds United news, the Whites are now scouting an attacker at the World Cup and a January move appears to be on the cards for them.
