Leeds United are currently valued at a fee between £200million and £250million, based on the current modelling of football clubs.

That’s according to Dr Dan Plumley who claims that Premier League survival was massive in terms of keeping the club as a suitable investment opportunity.

The Telegraph reported the day after Leeds secured promotion that the San Francisco 49ers could complete a full takeover of the Elland Road outfit this summer.

Andrea Radrizzani was seen celebrating at full-time against Brentford as his side managed to avoid the drop on the final day of the season.

He previously valued the club at £300million, but the Sheffield Hallam University believes that he’s being far too liberal with his estimations.

Speaking exclusively to MOT Leeds News, he said, “I know Radrizzani said in the past that £300million was his valuation last summer, but I’d have them closer to £200million and £250million based on all our modelling.

“That’s not a bad figure. They’ve got a big fanbase, they’re a one city club so there’s growth potential.

“I think £250million is the top end of that figure and retaining Premier League status was massive in terms of that valuation.
