Farke sack complications arise as Leeds sound out Van Bronckhorst and two others
Giovanni van Bronckhorst has emerged as a candidate to replace Daniel Farke as the Leeds United manager.
Farke faces an uncertain future at Elland Road despite leading the Whites back to the Premier League this season due to concerns over his previous record in the top flight.
The 49ers Enterprises are considering sacking the German tactician ahead of next season, with Paraag Marathe travelling to the UK to hold talks over it.
Marathe will be in attendance for Leeds‘ Championship game against Bristol City on Monday (28 April) and talk to Farke later this week.

Leeds consider Van Bronckhorst and Roger Schmidt
Meanwhile, Leeds have already begun the hunt for a potential replacement for Farke, with Van Bronckhorst emerging as a surprise candidate.
The Elland Road outfit have held initial soundings for the former Rangers manager, according to The Guardian.
The newspaper reported via their website on Monday (28 April) that the Whites have also sounded out Roger Schmidt and Davide Ancelotti.
However, Leeds face a few hurdles in the process of sacking Farke, as they would have to pay him a hefty compensation sum.

The former Norwich boss is contracted to the West Yorkshire outfit for two more years, meaning he would be entitled to one year’s salary if he is relieved of his duties.
This leaves Leeds in a bind, as they are already facing financial constraints after posting combined losses of £94.5million over the last two seasons.

Van Bronckhorst and Schmidt ideal for 49ers
This is why Leeds’ approaches for Van Bronckhorst and Schmidt make sense. Both those managers are currently without a job, meaning the Whites would not have to pay their employers to sign them.
Van Bronckhorst has experience on British soil, having managed Rangers between 2021 and 2022. He led them to the UEFA Europa League final during that time.
Meanwhile, Schmidt has had success in five different countries, including the Netherlands, Portugal and Austria.
As for Ancelotti, he is currently serving as the assistant to his father, Carlo Ancelotti, at Real Madrid.
However, Carlo is expected to leave Madrid to take charge as the Brazil national team coach at the end of the season, meaning Davide would also be a free agent.
Although the 49ers’ insistence on a data-led approach for recruitment may turn some candidates away.
