Farid Boulaya’s agent speaks out over rumours linking his client with Leeds United
Farid Boulaya’s agent has been speaking to LUFCFANZONE about rumours linking his client with a move to Leeds United.
Boulaya’s agent said when asked about the Whites’ supposed interest in the Metz man that he does “not deny the links”, indicating that Leeds are indeed interested in Boulaya as reported by Mohamed TOUBACHE-TER.
The 28-year-old is said to be worth just 4million Euros [£3.4million] and looks to be a deal that the Whites could complete quickly if they put together a bid soon. The fact that the agent hasn’t dismissed the rumours can only be a good thing, and Boulaya could become a Leeds player before the end of the transfer window.
Boulaya to Leeds?
The fact that his agent hasn’t denied the story could only be seen as a positive, as it indicates the player is perhaps keen to play under Marcelo Bielsa.
Boulaya had a strong season for Metz, who finished in tenth place, as he scored six goals and provided eight assists.
You would think after a season like that for a mid-table team, he would cost more, but due to the collapse of the French TV deal, many Ligue 1 clubs are in serious trouble, and the Whites could benefit with Boulaya [Daily Mail].

The Algerian can play in various different positions and could be the ideal replacement for Pablo Hernandez and could easily slot into Bielsa’s XI.
Also, the last player Leeds signed from a French team, Raphinha, has turned out to be fantastic, so they have a good recent track record with players from Ligue 1.
Couple this with the agent’s comments, and Leeds could be onto a winner with Boulaya if they decide to make a move and bring him to Elland Road.
For that price, surely they will try to sign him?
