‘Fantastic’, ‘Fair play’, ‘Bamford will get 15 goals’ – Many Leeds fans react to new EFL update
Leeds United fans have mixed opinions about the newest update from EFL chairman Rick Parry about the state of the 2019/20 season.
Leeds have another nine matches to play of their bid to win promotion from the Championship and fans are eager to know when Marcelo Bielsa’s side will be able to play again and if they will be able to attend.
However, an open letter on the EFL website has confirmed that “matches are likely to be played without crowds”.
Parry added that there are plans in place for matches to be broadcasted on television or iFollow, so if Leeds fans cannot go to Elland Road to watch their team play, they will at least be able to from the comfort and safety of their own homes.
Some supporters are happy with Parry’s latest update, with one suggesting that players like Patrick Bamford will flourish without the added pressure of over 30,000 spectators.
However there are some who disagree, with one saying it would be a “disadvantage” for the Whites to not have their famous home backing, which we can kind of agree with although it will be the same for every team in the divison.
