Fabrizio Romano reports update on Leeds United transfer activity

Fabrizio Romano has stated that Leeds United will make “one more” signing before the end of the ongoing transfer window.

The Whites have been active in the market as they have signed six players and have also lost two stars in Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips to Barcelona and Manchester City.

While talking to Que Golazo YouTube channel on Monday, July 18, Romano stated that he expects Leeds to make just one more addition, who is likely to be a striker, before the end of the window.

“I see Leeds signing one more player – one more striker, I would say,” he said. “They already signed many players, we have to mention that Radrizzani and Orta did many, many deals this summer.

“So they just need maybe something in [the] attacking position and this will be the last one for Leeds this summer, probably.”

Promising words

Those words of Romano will be music to ear for Leeds fans who will be eager to have more players, at least in the attacking department to provide cover for Patrick Bamford who had injury concerns in the last campaign.

The England international’s absence in the majority of the season was one of the primary reasons for the Whites’ struggle as they narrowly managed to escape relegation.

With another season just around the corner, by the look of things, Leeds are once again likely to be involved in the relegation battle with some of the newly-promoted sides and it will be interesting to see how the team will cope without the presence of arguably their two best who are not at the club anymore.

It will be also a test for Leeds manager Jesse Marsch who will have his work cut out as he will try to make things work with the addition of more than six players to the squad which is never easy.

In other Leeds United news, another more in-demand left-back option was suggested by a fan who had the idea destroyed by a journalist on Twitter.
