Fabrizio Romano: Leeds United move for Brenden Aaronson could be hijacked
Fabrizio Romano has suggested that any Leeds United move for RB Salzburg star Brenden Aaronson in the summer could be hijacked.
After failing numerous times in January, the Whites will try again to sign the American international once the season is over.
Romano has suggested that he is “sure” that other Premier League clubs could try and jump into the deal.

Speaking to CBS Sports Golazo late on Monday evening, Romano shared the latest on a potential summer deal.
“Three American players who could make a move in the summer transfer window,” he said.
“Aaronson – Leeds wanted him in January, they will try again in the summer, but I’m sure that other Premier League clubs will jump into this potential deal from Salzburg.”
Trouble ahead?
It is inevitable that the chances of this happening rise.
Aaronson is set to be critical to helping RB Salzburg win the Austrian title, as well as their quest to beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Should both of those things happen, eyes will be on him from all over Europe, not just in the Premier League.
Along with that, success at the end of this season will mean that the price will no doubt increase, making any potential deal even harder.
These are all things to consider, but the White surely have to be in the driving seat given their negotiations through January and the respect they gave Salzburg.
After failing to get any business done in January, there will be big expectations over the summer, and all eyes will be on Victor Orta to get some deals over the line.
Let’s hope that we can get this one over the line early in the summer.
