Fabrizio Romano: Leeds United in advanced talks to appoint Jesse Marsch
Leeds United are close to appointing Jesse Marsch as their next manager and the agreement has reached the final stage, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Whites have confirmed today that they have parted way with Marcelo Bielsa, and Romano has suggested that the club are quickly looking to sign his replacement.
The Whites are struggling badly in the Premier League, and they lost 4-0 against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday (26 February).
Romano wrote on Twitter: “While Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds lawyers discuss final contract termination details, talks are in progress for Jesse Marsch to be appointed as new manager. The agreement’s now at final stages. Marsch has been on Leeds board list for months. Work in progress.”
All good things must come to an end, and Bielsa’s journey at Leeds has come to a full circle.
He will be always remembered as a club hero, and fans will continue to adore him forever.
The Argentine has transformed the club completely. He took them to the Premier League and made them one of the most entertaining sides to watch.
He taught the core values of respect, decency, and loyalty. He brought an entertaining footballing philosophy and built an identity at the club.
The recent results have been very poor. The Whites are teetering on the verge of relegation, having lost four games in a row. They have gone six games without a win, losing five of them.
It is going to be an extremely emotional farewell, and many fans may feel that the end shouldn’t be like this. He made football a dream again, and it’s really hard to believe that he won’t be there in the Leeds dugout anymore.
