Ezgjan Alioski reacts as Tyler Roberts signs new Leeds United contract

Leeds United playmaker Tyler Roberts has signed a new contract at Elland Road this week, keeping him at the club until 2024.

The Wales international is currently in Azerbaijan ahead of his countries EUROs opener this week, although it didn’t affect talks.

The Whites are currently wanting to tie down a number of their players, with Ezgjan Alioski only having less than a month of his current deal.

Roberts took to his personal Instagram account on Wednesday afternoon to celebrate the news, and there were plenty of responses.

Currently away with North Macedonia, Alisoki was one of those in the comments, sending his teammate a two-word message.

“Congratulations bro,” he wrote.

Follow his lead.

Alioski is still said to be in negotiations with the likes of Victor Orta, and this has proved that the EUROs aren’t a huge stumbling block.

If the defender wanted to stick around at Elland Road, this more than proves that it can be sorted during the next month.

Leeds fans obviously flooded to that comment and left their own urging Alioski to extend his own stay, which could even see him retire in West Yorkshire.

The left-back has become somewhat of a cult hero during his memorable stint at the club, and surely he saw the send-off of his good friend Gaetano Berardi and it tempted him to stick around.

Karar have recently reported that the Whites have tabled a last contract offer on the table and that Alioski has met with Victor Orta as this deal comes to an end.

With that on the table, it looks as though we are spearheading towards a final decision.
