Ex-Championship ace ‘very happy’ with Daniel Farke at Leeds United as ‘great manager’ verdict shared

Former Norwich City midfielder Mario Vrancic is “very happy” that Daniel Farke is now manager of Leeds United.

The ex-Canaries ace, who currently plays for FK Sarajevo in his native Bosnia, played under the German manager during their time together at Carrow Road.

Farke will make a return to his former club on Saturday (21 Saturday) when the Whites take on Norwich in the Championship.

“Daniel is a great manager, a great guy and human being,” Vrancic said, as quoted by BBC Sport. “I’m very happy he got the chance to work for a big club like Leeds United.”

Going well

Farke had some initial struggles at Elland Road, but that was perhaps expected given the huge turnaround at the club in the summer.

Several players moved on – either temporarily or permanently – when the Whites were relegated from the Championship.

There were also plenty of behind-the-scenes issues that Farke needed to deal with before being able to fully concentrate on football.

A handful of disappointing results didn’t impact him, however, with the Whites now going strong, sitting fifth in the Championship table.

Farke’s former club Norwich are two points and two places behind their upcoming opponents heading into the first clash back for both sides after the international break.

Having had a long list of important players away on international duty, it will certainly be interesting to see how Farke deals with the return of club football, as well as his return to a club where he enjoyed plenty of success.

In other Leeds United news, a silver lining has emerged as one Whites sensation is wanted by Premier League giants.
