Every word MOTD said about Daniel Farke’s future as Leeds manager stares down barrel
Leeds United manager Daniel Farke is now in real danger of being sacked following another defeat in the Premier League.
Manchester City beat Leeds 3-2 on Saturday, with Phil Foden firing in a late winner at the Etihad Stadium.
The England international had opened the scoring for Pep Guardiola’s side, with Josko Gvardiol then doubling the hosts’ lead.
Leeds came roaring back in the second half, with goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Lukas Nmecha seemingly securing Farke’s side a point, before Foden dealt the hammer blow in injury time.

Daniel Farke’s Leeds future in doubt
Going into the game against Man City, Farke was already under huge pressure at Leeds, with the fans beginning to grow frustrated with their underperforming side.
After yet another defeat, the Whites have picked up just 11 points from their first 13 games back in the Premier League, and have now lost their last four in a row.
However, former Liverpool and England midfielder Danny Murphy believes that there are still positive signs regarding the West Yorkshire side.
When asked if it’s time that speculation will begin over Farke’s future at Leeds, Murphy told Match of the Day: “It is, but in the last couple of games, the level of performance has been good.
“The players are playing for him and they’ve been in a lot of games. They’ve lost points late in games, it’s four or five points they’ve lost after the 90th minute.
“I think if the fans are a bit more patient, or stick with him longer, this team will get better.
“I know they’ve got some tough fixtures coming up but they can take a lot of heart from that second-half performance.”
Leeds face more tough games ahead
Unfortunately for Leeds and Farke, the unrelenting nature of the Premier League means that the situation won’t get any easier over the next few weeks.
The newly promoted side welcome Chelsea to Elland Road on Wednesday, 3 December in what will be another tough challenge.
To make matters worse, Liverpool come to town just three days later, meaning they would have faced three of last season’s top four in the Premier League in the space of just one week.

There are rumours that Farke could be sacked by Leeds if he fails to get anything out of the next few games, despite the quality of opposition.
If the German is given his marching orders, then Leeds could replace him with Brendan Rodgers, who dramatically quit Celtic earlier this season.
Rodgers is just one of the names linked to the potential vacancy at Elland Road, with the likes of Marco Rose and Ange Postecoglou also in contention.
