Everton to launch £58m Leeds United raid as Saudi Arabia development emerges
Everton have been linked with a number of Leeds United players in recent weeks – and after the latest news to emerge from Saudi Arabia, they could make a move.
According to The Telegraph on 20 June, the Toffees are interested in signing 21-year-old winger Crysencio Summerville who is value in the region of £12million.
Football Transfers also report (18 June) that Jack Harrison is of interest to the Goodison Park board and that the 26-year-old has a release clause of £16million. Willy Gnonto is also wanted on the blue side of Merseyside and is believed to be available for £30million (The Mirror, 24 June).

With a combined fee of £58million, it’s highly unlikely the Toffees will be able to mount a credible offer at present, with player sales needed first at Goodison Park.
However, recent news to emerge could mean an influx of cash could be on the way to Merseyside. Sky Sports reported on 25 June that Al Hilal are set to hold talks with 26-year-old winger Demarai Gray.
This summer has seen Saudi Arabian sides ransack European clubs for some of the biggest stars on the planet. Al Hilal have already signed Wolves’ star man Ruben Neves for a club-record £47million.

If they push through with a move for the Everton man, a bloated transfer fee will arrive in the Goodison Park coffers – which could enable a move for the Leeds trio.
Furthermore, Amadou Onana has also been tipped to move on during the summer window in a bid to raise funds. The £55million-rated midfielder’s departure would see yet more cash arrive on Merseyside (Le Soir, 20 June).
Although we haven’t seen any high-profile departures to date, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see one or two of Leeds’. big names move to Sean Dyche’s side if an influx of cash does take place.
The Toffees clearly like what they see in West Yorkshire.
In other Leeds United news, the Whites have “ambitious” incoming transfer plans despite an impending exodus in light of the exit clauses.
