‘Even to this day’ – Jack Harrison admits to regular talks with well-known Leeds villain

Leeds United winger Jack Harrison has shared that he is constantly keeping in touch with Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.

The Manchester City loanee played with the Chelsea icon during his time at New York City FC, with Patrick Vieira attracting some of football’s biggest names to America.

Lampard has since become a villain at Elland Road from his time in charge of Derby County last season which included a number of famous battles.

Harrison spoke about his relationship with Lampard during a recent interview, in which he also spoke about David Villa.

“On Frank, I’ve gotten to know him on a personal level,” he said on Yes We’re Here.

“He’s always helped me out with any problems or any queries I’ve had about the game and anything off the pitch that I need help with.

“Even to this day, we always talk and he always makes fun of me on Instagram.”

Harrison certainly has the experience of the likes of Lampard, Villa, Vieira and even Andrea Pirlo to count on in his times of need.

The 23-year-old has come into his own this season after the disappointment of the last campaign and has definitely improved massively. Marcelo Bielsa can make his loan switch permanent in the summer if he wanted too [The Athletic].

Whatever is being said to the winger must be working. Harrison has already scored one more goal than last season and doubled his output in terms of assists.

We may not be on the same page as Lampard, but if he can continue to make Harrison a better player with his words alongside Bielsa’s methods than we’re all on board.
