Ethan Ampadu scalds what Leeds United source said about Sheffield United
Leeds United fans might be celebrating promotion to the Premier League, but Ethan Ampadu is still focused on the task remaining.
The Whites secured their return to the English top flight on Monday (21 April), making it an Easter bank holiday weekend to remember.
Leeds fans celebrated Burnley’s win against Sheffield United late into the night outside of Elland Road, as the Blades are now mathematically unable to catch either them or the Clarets.
Daniel Farke’s side hammered Stoke City 6-0 to do their part on the day, with four goals from Joel Piroe, as well as goals from Junior Firpo and Willy Gnonto to wrap things up.

Ampadu wants more from Leeds United
Many Leeds fans are in a daydream right now after achieving a return to the Premier League, with the focus on the remaining two matches simply being thrown out of the window, for now.
However, that’s not the case for the Leeds United captain, as Ampadu is completely focused on winning the Championship this season.
Beren Cross revealed on X that someone recently spoke to Ampadu with encouragement about the struggles of Sheffield United, and how it didn’t matter if Burnley kept on winning, as they’d be clear anyway.
That person was said to have been scalded, with Ampadu stressing that he wasn’t just interested in being promoted, as he wants to win the league.
That would see Leeds move into the Premier League with the ultimate momentum, and would see them gain further prize money for finishing top.

Leeds United still have a job to do
The Whites are currently level on 94 points with Burnley at the top of the table, but their superior goal difference is keeping them in first place.
Leeds have a plus-60 goal difference right now, with the Clarets trailing behind them on plus-46, which gives Scott Parker’s team a mountain to climb if they want to catch the Whites.
Farke’s side winning their final two games will be enough to guarantee they finish top, barring some incredibly high-scoring Burnley games.
Leeds will face Bristol City in their final home fixture of the season on Monday (28 April) before travelling to play Plymouth Argyle on the last day of the campaign.
Let’s hope it finishes with the title in hand.
