Emma Jones sings all-new Raphinha song

Emma Jones and Matt Lewis have belted out a hilarious new Raphinha song on the official Leeds United podcast.

A shout has gone out on the podcast over the past few weeks for fans to send in new songs about Raphinha, with limbs expected to be back in Elland Road for the last game of this season.

The new cult hero has been turning heads on the wing after signing for Leeds for £17m in the summer.

The latest song to be trialled on the Leeds podcast goes to the tune of The La’s There She Goes. And we think it’s another Leeds song that Sky Sports will hate, after already having to mute one particularly popular song.

Lewis took the first verse…

“There he goes,
There he goes again
Racing down the wing
And I just can’t contain, Raphinha when he’s playing…”

Jones took the second but said, “There are some workmen here at Elland Road and I’m a bit concerned they might hear me.

“There he goes
There he goes again
[Censored] off poor Rennes
And I just can’t explain… Raphinha is insane”

Raphinha needs a song

There was another Raphinha song on the podcast that was put to the tune of Mama Mia but this is the one we liked the most.

There’s still a few months before Elland Road will welcome fans back into Elland Road for the final game of the season against West Brom.

Beyond just getting back into the stadium with Leeds in the Premier League, seeing Raphinha in action is the one thing all fans are looking forward to.

MOT Leeds News columnist Paul Robinson has seen him play up close and personal, working at Elland Road, and he told us that Raphinha is an even more exciting player to watch live.

He said the skills, pace and movement don’t come across on TV.

That’s got us excited and Raphinha is definitely going to need a new song. We give our vote to this one and can feel the hairs standing on the back of our necks at the thought of it coming out from the stands at Elland Road.

If Raphinha is enjoying his time at Leeds already, we can’t wait to see his face when he hears the full-on Elland Road roar.

That might not be until next season and having him in a Leeds shirt after the summer will be a big win.
