Emma Jones hits back at Robbie Savage after Leeds hysterics

Robbie Savage has been left in hysterics at Leeds United as they sit bottom of the Premier League after one matchday.

Poking at Emma Jones, Savage couldn’t help himself but aim a sly dig at the Whites after their 5-1 defeat at Manchester United.

Leeds have a chance to bounce back immediately, welcoming Everton to a packed Elland Road for the first time in over a year tomorrow.

Speaking for William Hill’s Three of the Best on Twitter, the duo are consistently known to talk about the Whites.

Savage started with a bizarre swipe at the Premier League table, which of course has the Whites rock-bottom as it stands.

“League table looks good,” he laughed.

Jones hit back perfectly and reminded Savage that there is still a long way to go in this Premier League season.

“Pipe down. I knew this was going to happen. Let’s also remember that it’s really early days, it’s a long old season.”

Embarrassing.

It has been a familiar sight to see those crawling out to hit out at Leeds this week after only one defeat in the Premier League.

Yes, Marcelo Bielsa got it wrong and he admitted that, but one thing his sides always do is bounce back, no matter who they play.

The prospect of a full Elland Road will be the perfect motivation for this squad, who will be desperate to go out and get a big win of their own against Everton.

We all have to remember that these will be the same people loving Leeds and calling Bielsa a genius when we get a good result, so we have to expect these things.

Bring on tomorrow, and hopefully a big three points.
