EFL make Leeds United announcement after what happened v Sheffield United
Leeds United have been the focus of a fresh announcement released by the EFL following their clash with Sheffield United.
Leeds secured a huge 3-1 victory against Sheffield United on Monday night (24 February), taking them even closer to Premier League football.
As it stands, Leeds are very much in the driving seat of the Championship, five points above the defeated Blades and seven above third-placed Burnley.
Several players impressed at Bramall Lane, with two Leeds players named in the latest EFL announcement.

Joel Piroe and Ao Tanaka named Championship TOTW
When it comes to players that stood out against Sheffield United, Tanaka is certainly top of that list having put in another remarkable display to help the Whites on their way to three points.
His goal gave Leeds the lead, not too long after Junior Firpo equalised with a bullet header to send the away support into raptures.
Piroe added the third in injury time, arrowing a long-range effort past Michael Cooper to ensure the Whites left Bramall Lane with all three points.
Championship top two | W | L | D | GF | GA |
Leeds United (75 points) | 22 | 9 | 3 | 71 | 22 |
Sheffield United (70 points) | 22 | 6 | 6 | 48 | 26 |
Both players have been named in the Championship Team of the Week and deservedly so given their contributions to the game.
Despite going a goal down, Leeds showed their resilience which has been demonstrated countless times throughout the campaign to secure an emphatic second-half comeback.
Leeds have been outstanding this season
In terms of quality and consistency, very few teams have been able to get anywhere near the Whites this season and they are certainly deserving of their place at the summit of the Championship.
Daniel Farke deserves a lot of credit for the role he has played in that success with it looking almost nailed on that his side will be a Premier League outfit next campaign.
As for the remainder of the season, Leeds just need to keep doing what they have been doing all season and finish the campaign as strongly as they started it.
