Eddie Gray has mischievous Celtic plan ready for when 49ers complete Rangers takeover
Leeds United owners 49ers Enterprises are in the final stages of their Rangers takeover.
The 49ers have successfully overseen the West Yorkshire club’s promotion from the Championship back to the Premier League.
If Leeds beat Plymouth on Saturday, Daniel Farke’s men will win their second Championship title in five years, pipping Burnley to the prize.
But the 49ers are already gearing themselves up for a busy transfer window as they strive to prepare Farke’s side for life in the Premier League next term.

Eddie Gray to take Celtic scarf to Elland Road
Leeds legend Eddie Gray is a Celtic fan who dreamed of playing for the Glasgow outfit before moving south to West Yorkshire.
And he, perhaps jokingly, told the Scottish Sun Sport YouTube channel [1 May] that when the 49ers complete their Rangers takeover, he will walk into Elland Road with a Celtic scarf on.
Leeds should clinch the Championship title on Saturday
Whites owners 49ers Enterprises are in for a busy summer as they look to bolster Farke’s squad in preparation for next season’s Premier League.
Opponent | Result |
Oxford (A) | 0-1 W |
Stoke (H) | 6-0 W |
Bristol City (H) | 4-0 W |
The Elland Road club have set their sights on Newcastle midfielder Sean Longstaff, who boasts bags of top-flight experience thanks to his time with the Magpies.
Meanwhile, the 49ers will soon be occupied by matters at Rangers, as the Ibrox club are vying to close the gap between themselves and bitter rivals Celtic.
But in the short term, the Elland Road faithful will be eager to see their club lift the Championship title with a victory over all but relegated Plymouth on Saturday.
While Farke’s men are the top scorers in the second tier, Plymouth boast the division’s worst defence, having conceded a whopping 86 goals.
Leeds have proven their free-scoring tendencies with their 6-0 win over Stoke on 21 April and their 4-0 victory over Bristol City last time out.
Farke’s side should have the quality to earn another convincing win over Plymouth and clinch the Championship title.
