Early Leeds United team news for Premier League clash v Manchester City – Injury expert

Leeds United have three players ruled out for their Premier League clash against Manchester City on Saturday (6 May), according to injury expert Ben Dinnery.

Writing for the Premier Injuries website, Dinnery shared that Liam Cooper, who was substituted off after 35 minutes of their 4-1 defeat to Bournemouth, had picked up a muscular injury and was currently being assessed.

Despite travelling with the squad for Sunday’s (30 April) clash, Stuart Dallas is ruled out with a thigh injury.

Meanwhile, Tyler Adams, through a thigh injury, and Luis Sinisterra, with an ankle injury, are both ruled out of the clash against Pep Guardiola’s side at The Etihad Stadium.

Nightmare

Things have gone from bad to worse for Leeds United in recent weeks, and the blow to Cooper against Bournemouth typified their bad luck.

Luckily for Javi Gracia, he had Max Wober fit and ready to come off the bench, although that really didn’t make much of a difference whatsoever, considering the final scoreline.

Realistically, Adams and Sinisterra won’t be featuring again this season, but the fact that Dallas won’t be able to play against Manchester City is a big blow.

Leadership is key in tight relegation battles such as the one Leeds find themselves in right now, and getting Dallas fully fit and firing could be the difference between nicking a win and conceding late on in a game.

Hopefully for Leeds fans, Dallas and Cooper won’t be out for too long as the Manchester City clash isn’t looking too pretty right now.

With these two key players sidelined, the Whites really do lack leaders on the pitch.
