‘Don’t think he will play for Leeds again’ – Many fans react to BBC journo update on mainstay

Leeds United goalkeeper Kiko Casilla reportedly had his hearing on Wednesday in relation to the FA’s charge for him making racist remarks.

BBC Radio Leeds journalist Adam Pope reported via his personal Twitter account that there should be an outcome to the drawn-out affair on Thursday.

Casilla, 33, is alleged to have made comments with racial overtones to Jonathan Leko earlier this season when the young West Brom attacker was on loan at Charlton Athletic.

It is understood that the Leeds goalkeeper is denying the allegations against him.

Casilla has had this charge hanging over his head since September and it is ridiculous to think that the FA have taken this long to hear the shot-stopper’s case.

In that time, Casilla’s form has taken a nosedive with the Spaniard being the subject of criticism from almost all corners of Elland Road for his recent displays.

Could this charge be having an impact on the goalkeeper’s form? We will have to wait and see but that has not stopped some Leeds fans from suggesting that they want to see Casilla banned simply so he cannot play for them any more. Quite frankly, that is a ridiculous point of view.
