Don Hutchison: Leeds United will place Raphinha picture in Elland Road tunnel or boardroom
Don Hutchison believes that Leeds United have to put Raphinha’s picture in a significant place in Elland Road.
The Brazilian scored the opening goal in the 2-1 game against Brentford that saw them retain their Premier League status and then celebrated with the fans after full time.
The picture of him shirtless and enjoying with the travelling support has done its rounds on social media and Hutchison, the BBC pundit thinks it must be in the tunnel or boardroom.
Speaking on the Premier League Weekend Review, he said, “It is brilliant. What a photograph. He’s ripped. That picture’s got to go up in the board room or tunnel.”
Phenomenal
This was an unbelievable game and the memory of it will live long in the minds of Leeds fans throughout the world.
They went into the game, not in control of their destiny and saw Burnley hand them a favour by losing to Newcastle.
Still, they needed to get the job done against Brentford and while one point would have been enough, they secured the three points courtesy of Jack Harrison’s stoppage-time winner.
It was good to see Raphinha celebrating with the fans and it’s clear that he knows how close they are to the club.
Whether or not this moment will change his mind about a summer transfer remains to be seen as Barcelona will now have to pay over the top to sign him.
In Leeds United news, an under-the-radar court case involving the transfer of a Leeds player has reached its conclusion with the final payout revealed.
